After a crazy-busy couple of months over November and December, we are going to close-down for a couple of weeks in early January to take a breather, have our annual break and also get some behind-the-scenes maintenance done. The (very temporary!) closure will run from 1 to 14 January.

It's vital for both ourselves and our staff to take a proper break and this will be our first holiday for 12 months. January is traditionally our quietest month, so we take our time out at this time of year to minimise disruption for you, our lovely customers! It also gives us the chance to get those boring but vital maintenance jobs that need doing completed to keep the machinery in our kitchen, cellar and the rest of the pub working well.

We will be back open and ready to go for the rest of the year from Wednesday 15 Jan, where we have a nicely packed week:

  • 15 Jan - our monthly pub quiz with quiz master Dave

  • 16 Jan - our weekly Jam night session (the first back in 2025)

  • 17 Jan - Foz's monthly music quiz (now fully booked)

  • 16 Jan - open as usual 3pm til late

  • 17 Jan - our first Sunday roast of 2025!
